Guidance and FAQs for Successful Treatment
Precare FAQs
DO NOT take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E, Fish Oil, CoQ10, and Ibuprofen one (1) week prior to the procedure.
No alcohol or caffeine 24 hours prior to procedure.
No Retinol/ Retin-A’s/ Tretinoin or any other anti-aging/ acne creams, or any serums containing acids for four (4) weeks prior, as these will cause brows to fade prematurely.
No Botox or Injectable fillers should be done 2-3 weeks prior to procedure or 4 weeks after procedure.
No chemical peels 60 days before or after procedure (this could cause brows to peel quicker due to chemicals being absorbed under the skin)
Do not heavily sweat 24 hours previous to your treatment.
No waxing, threading, or tinting three (3) days prior to the procedure.
No tanning or waxing
24 hours prior to your appointment — you cannot take any blood thinners such as: caffeine, aspirin, vitamins, blood thinning medication, or alcohol.
If your skin has large pores, specifically in the region of the eyebrows and forehead (a.k.a. the T-Zone), the color will blur and result in a powdered look. Similarly, microblading hair strokes will not lay properly on skin with deep wrinkles, which can make the overall look appear uneven. Moles, bumps, piercings, and generally raised skin around the eyebrows will also not be able to retain color.

Trichotillomania - you will be expected not to pick at any scabs or flakes that form during the entire healing process. it’s going to be very challenging for you, but if you cannot control your picking behaviors, you will not have a good healed result and could cause damage to your skin including scarring and infection! be honest with yourself if this healing process is something that you can handle. you are expected not to touch your brows at all for at least 2 weeks.
Excessive caffeine/Alcohol consumption - you are required to refrain from consuming caffeine and alcohol at least 24 hours before your procedure. failure to do so will have negative impacts on healed results, and can increase swelling and tenderness.
Allergies to any anesthetics including Lidocaine | Tetracaine | Epinephrine - we can still perform the procedure without anesthetic. However, please be aware of your pain tolerance.

VACATIONING: Microblading is a tattoo and therefore is a mild skin injury which takes time to heal. If you are planning to go to a hot / humid climate and be exposed to a lot of sun, sweating, and swimming, make sure to give your skin two weeks to heal post treatment before showing the world your newly microbladed brows on the beach (or sun filled location). |
POST-CARE INSTRUCTIONS ARE VERY IMPORTANT FOR OPTIMAL RESULTS!
Expect your eyebrows to be 40% darker and 15% thicker during the first 7 days.
In the first 5-7 days they will flake off a little, which is normal if you follow the given directions. They may look patchy before your touch-up session, this is also normal. I will add any missing strokes and/or more color as needed during the touch-up treatment.
Enjoy your new eyebrows and new look 🙂!
Recommended for you to purchase:
Antibacterial soap (ex. Dial Gold, Neutrogena, or Cetaphil Facial Cleanser) — gently cleanse with your fingertips and a very light touch to rub the area in a smooth motion for 10 seconds. Rinse gently with water, ensuring that all soap is removed.
Sterile gauze pads
